All I could find NCF is it could be a stuck shutter or a ccd sensor problem. I saw some info on an internet site that tries to help with stuck shutter. Scroll down to t00nz843z answer/procedure. I have no idea if this would work for you. Just trying to help out a fellow BGPer. Flickr

I believe that camera was released in 2012. 6 years is an eternity in camera technology. Even if it were a couple years old, I still wouldn’t bother getting it fixed. There are very few (if any) consumer level tech products that are worth spending money on repairing. I doubt a local shop would even be able to repair it anyway, because parts will likely be hard to find. They would likely just send it to Canon, which you could do yourself. The good thing about sending it to Canon, is they’ll diagnose it, then send you an estimate, which you can then either accept or refuse the repair. Regardless, I’d probably spend a few hundred and get something brand new, rather than spending a couple hundred to repair a dinosaur.
August 26, 20188 yr Author I order the cannon power shot SX60 HS. One place said the repair could cost up to 300. I paid a little more than that for the camera bundle, when I got it in 2013. Edited August 26, 20188 yr by Colonels_Wear_Blue Edited camera model # at ncf request
