Owensboro had a rough season, by their standards, in 2017 but look to be new and improved in 2018. One thing that has always held the Red Devils back when they would play top 5 teams in their class was the fact that there were one dimensional with a run first (and last) offense, not this year! The Red Devils opened the season with an impressive 41-13 win over 4A top ten Madisonville-North Hopkins. The most impressive thing though was that quarterback Will Warren threw for 254 yards and five touchdowns, while completing over 50% of his passes in the Red Devils win, that's unheard of if you follow the Owensboro program. The coaches were able to keep the defense honest with 19 rushing attempts as well. Will the Red Devils represent Kentucky and pick up the out of state win this week or will Reitz bring them back to reality?

This is an interesting game. Reitz crossed the River last week and won at Henderson County 41-35. And as JD said above, Owensboro blew the doors off Madisonville.

So now Owensboro has to travel across the river for this one. Owensboro is definitely better than Hendo IMO, but the game being in Indiana makes it much closer.

Give me Owensboro 28 Reitz 21.

Before the season I would’ve taken Reitz in this game but Owensboro was impressive beating MNH and Reitz narrowly beat Henderson so I’m picking Owensboro to win 35-28
