Robert Stephenson starting for Reds on Wednesday

Trade bait, hes out of options so its put up or ship out time.

Votto won't be starting today.

If he is truly hurt he needs to go on the 10 day, heal, and not leave the team down a man. Votto wont want to do that thought.

Stephenson is only 25 lets not act like hes some washed up vet. He had a 3.30 ERA 11 starts in the 2nd half of last year.

Last 10 starts in AAA have been excellent. 7-2, 2.28 ERA. He’s struck out 73 and walked 26. Going 6 innings or better in 7 of 10 starts. He's kept his walks down which has been his biggest issue. He's earned this, lets hope it's not just one start. Would be nice to see him finish out the year strong and hopefully he makes a leap next year.

Robert Stephenson will start the #Reds' series finale against the Mets tomorrow afternoon. In seven starts since June 25 with the Triple-A @LouisvilleBats, Stephenson is 6-0 with a 1.23 ERA and 55 K. He leads the IL in ERA, WHIP (0.91) and opponent average (.152) in that span.

Hope you're right, his numbers are impressive but he is still walking too many, over 4.5 per 9 innings, almost as many as he has allowed hits, 6 per 9 innings. That is kind of odd.

Hes also been in the Reds organization for 7 years......7 years...........

And?

And?

You can either pitch or not at that point, or the organization has failed to teach you how to pitch.

Well Stephenson can't throw strikes today. He walked deGrom on 4 pitches with the bases loaded. All on breaking pitches.
