Tigers draw first blood on RBI double by junior Logan Castleman that scored junior John Odom who led off the game with a ground rule double.

 

Castleman then score on an errant throw to third on a steal attempt to make it 2-0.

Indians score on a two out double by Zach Chin that scored Loel Haggard who opened the game with a sharp single to left.

Beechwood 5, Holy Cross 1 - Middle 2

 

Beechwood extends the lead to 5-1 behind RBI knocks by Odom (single) and Castleman (triple) and a groundout by Dylan Doverspike.

Indians add one on as Cam Carl scores from third on an errant Beechwood throw.

 

Inning ends with a bit of controversy after Tigers 1b Doverspike recovers errant throw and fires a strike to 3b Hutton who appeared to tag out the Indian runner attempting to take third. Umpire called the runner safe but then the call was changed after umpires conferred. Muchhhh to the chagrin of the Indian faithful.

Beechwood threatens with two outs as Ayden Hutton drills a double to left and Preston Hamilton walks. All for naught as Indians relief pitcher Parker Zimmerman retires Nick Jackman on a grounder to first.

Trusty looking sharp as he retires the Indians 1-2-3 in the third on a grounder to second, strikeout, and liner to second.

Indians pitcher Parker Zimmerman avoids two out damage as he retires senior Brayden Burch on a sharp groundout to third with runners on first and second. Opportunity missed by Tigers to extend the lead over the upset minded Indians.
