Ram Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 What does Lawrence County need to do to improve in 2018? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
newarkcatholicfan Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Unless some kind of passing game can be found to counter a offense that rushed for 3,820, the defense will have to really increase its performance for this team to have a successful season(7 wins or more means successful in my tough book) The defense gave up 33.8 points a game. During the 3 game losing streak to end 2017 that total was worse. Noah West 6-3-225 QB ran for 1,662 yards last season but passed for a dismal 194 yards. A better balance has to be found.

Any passing game at all would be an upgrade over what they had last year. 95% of the offense came via the ground game. As usual, their ceiling is second in the district, below Belfry. The district games between Lawrence County, Pike Central, and Floyd Central last year were all competitive, and I kind of look for that to be the case again this season.
