What does Warren Central need to do to improve in 2018? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Keep improving numbers in the program is the main key. They return several players who played a lot as Jr. and Soph. IMO they showed their improvement with a good start at Logan Co in their playoff loss, but their lack of depth caught up with them. I think they can win a couple games this season which would be great for the program to show steps of improvement.

Warren Central has talent, they just do not have the numbers. Shame for the kids there. If there was ever a school that could use a win this season, it's the Warren Central.

Did they have a bunch of kids leave when South Warren arrived? What happened over there? It's good that they have maintained with their basketball team.

IMHO South Warren hurt the program to a degree. But the killer was 4 coaches in 4 years.

Accelerated the issue, for sure. I don’t believe Rogers leaves when he does if South Warren hadn’t already been eroding the feeders, in which case they don’t have the coaching issue. But firing two coaches was pure idiocy. They are definitely culpable for that.

I echo Jack, that the most important thing for Central is to continue to build up the numbers in the program. They need to continue to make measurable progress in ways that don't necessarily mean wins on the field. Next year I'd estimate they have two opportunities - at Greenwood and at Monroe County. Perhaps they have a chance at Allen County-Scottsville as well. I'm not certain they'll win any of them, but I do think they have a realistic chance this time.

You are correct, I think Rogers saw what was about to happen and decided to make a move. Really sad what has happened to that program.
