Chris Whitney exceled in college and the pros but was not putting up monster numbers in high school. I think he was a late bloomer.

Fred Cowan at Union County and Dwight Smith from Caldwell County are two others that weren't mentioned before

I have seen them all and Tandy has and is having the best high school career in this regions history. Not talking about what they did after high school but their high school career. What Ware did was amazing also

There are a lot of guys that deserve to be mentioned here and I know he isn't considered one of the better players to ever come out of the second region but if we're just going by high school career then Jaqualis Matlock could be mentioned. He had a huge impact at Hopkinsville for 4 or 5 years and is their all time leading scorer and rebounder if I'm not mistaken and he led them to 4 straight region championships

A lot of good players have came through the 2nd region so that's a tough question. I got to see him for the first time last week in 2nd region championship and came away very impressed. Im glad Rupp gets to see him. UHA got a pretty good draw, should be interesting to see how he responds on what could be his future home court.
