I am having trouble navigating KHSAA tonight, so I am going to take the lazy way out.

Here's what I need to know:

1. If there is a 3-way tie for 3rd place in a district, (with Team 1 beating Team 2, Team 2 beating Team 3, and Team 3 beating Team 1) after application of the tie-breaker based upon the "points" from wins, is the 4th place seed decided by the remaining two head-to-head, or does points decide that one also?

2. When calculating "points" can you use points from wins against out-of-state opponents?

3. This year, is the Region Championship game at a fixed location, or does the lower seed always travel to the higher seed?

Thanks

1. Third place goes to the most points. Fourth place goes to the second most points, no matter the result of their head-to-head meeting.

2. Yes you can use out regular season wins for out-of-state teams.

3. I'm not sure, but I think from now on seeding always wins out over fixed locations. Don't quote me on that, though.

Correct on all counts. In the regional final, the higher seed is the host. If the teams have the same seed, then a predetermined district hosts.

In this case, odd district/region in the odd yr and even district/region in the even yr. is the host if both are the same seed.
