How about that ending? Turnover by North in the closing seconds and South comes down and burries a 3 as time expires. This time of year is always crazy!

Margin never exceeded 7 points in this one. North ahead early, South rallied, North took a two point lead into the fourth. South found a way to win.

 

Lots of big plays and drama, including a South player calling a late timeout that the Dragons didn't have, resulting in a technical foul that helped North rally late to tie the game at 60.

 

The two all-region players on the floor - Devin Young of South Oldham and Justin Rose of North - delighted the crowd with 33 points (Young) and 24 (Rose). Both gave all-region performances in the fourth quarter, when Rose had 13 of his points and Young had 12 - including the game ending dagger.

 

IF they played 100 times, these two might just split it evenly at 50 wins apiece.

 

Both teams with a lot of seniors on their rosters; and seniors just don't like to lose as 8th Region Warrior is fond of noting.

 

North seniors go down as the winningest group of seniors at the school over a 4 year period.

 

South earns another crack at Oldham County in the district finals on Friday at about 7:45 pm.
