Game was 20-15 midway throught the 3rd. Looks as if Bardstown went on a 32-0 run with the halfcourt trap and zone defense.

Bardstown has not played this badly since 2004 (which was also against KCD). They were flat out hideous tonight. They committed 6 turnovers (5 fumbles and an INT). They botched 4 extra point tries. They allowed long kick returns. They arm tackled at times. KCD ran 77 offensive plays, Bardstown ran 32. This game was 20-15 with about 4:00 left in the 3rd. Then Bardstown got righteous.

 

On a more positive note, there are not many teams in this state who can play this hideous and still win 52-15.

 

Tiger defense had 2 INT returns for TD's and a plethora of sacks. They stopped KCD several times inside the Tiger 20 after the offense had turned it over there.

 

KCD's QB, Cassidy Cook, is a MAN. He stood in the pocket all night and got absolutely hammered, and still delivered the ball. The Bearcats have heart but just no big guys. They must have used 30 different looks. They are actually a pretty formiddable team, and I think they have a good chance of knocking Holy Cross out of the playoff picture next week.

If KCD beats Holy Cross, there is no question, KCD gets #3, and assuming Green Co. beats Fort Knox, Green will then get #4.

Based upon the tie-breaking procedure at this point, Green is going to have 8-9 points (Wayne Co. 5-6, Hart Co. 1, Campbellsville 2), Holy Cross will have some more than that(Hancock Co. 3-4, Campbellsville 2, Desales 4-5, Providence, IN ?), and KCD will have 12 points (Eminence 4, Spencer County 6, Campbellsville 2). Holy Cross likely would then get third and KCD fourth, and these two teams would be playing at Garnis Martin field again the first round of the playoffs.
