Christian County @ Graves County

Who wins this one and why...

I believe it will be too much Tandy for Graves County to overcome leaving the Eagles on the outside looking in for a home field playoff game the first week of playoffs.

Graves County - 13

Christian Co. is just too much, 42-16.

I think this game will be closer than many expect it to be. If Graves holds on to the ball and establishes the run, they could pull off the upset at home.

I agree...I expect Christian Co to pull it out, but, it'll be closer than most here are predicting. IMO, there's not alot of difference in Marshall and Graves teams and they gave Christian all they wanted...

Word in the Colonels camp is they are concerned about the Wing-T and the physicality of the Graves defense.

If Christian is as aggressive with the blitzing and stunting as they were against Marshall, the misdirection elements of Graves' Wing-T could really hurt them.

I think Graves' biggest concern is how their secondary matches up with Christian's receivers. Most of the Eagles' skill-position guys go both ways, which could pose a problem if they get tired.

If Christian County likes to blitz then they should be able to use their speed to stunt the gaps up the middle and stop McManus who is their only weapon in the backfield...their wing-backs do not have any speed and have a hard time getting to the outside...so the Colonels defense...if they can stop McManus should shut down Graves County's offensive attack. The only thing they have to watch is having their DB's coming up to stop the run and having Graves pass over the top.

Now Graves' defense is pretty solid, but I think that Tandy's athletic ability should be able to run around Graves County's big D-line and get into the secondary. Roll outs to either side are very effective against Graves County's defense as they have some linemen go both ways and should be able to wear them down.

Warren Central handled Graves and Christian is just as athletic (if not more) than Warren Central. Most seem to be predicting a close game, but in the end I think Christian's offense scores at will and the Colonels roll.

Christian 41 Graves 14
