Everyone of those girls are signed by a top D1 school, no wonder they are all the Mc Donalds All Americans. Does Kentucky have a top D1 signed girl. Kentucky athletics isn't very good compared to the rest of the country.

You have to live under a rock to miss out on how big girls basketball has been in the state of KY the past few years. Either stuck under a rock, or mad your daughter/team doesn’t get a slice of the D-1 cake. Maybe a little of both?

They select 24 players each year. The highest ranked KY girl was #29 in the ESPN rankings I saw. I'm sure they didn't just take the top 24 ranked girls, and I know there's typically a lot of politicking that goes on behind the scenes with the selections, but I just don't see anything to be up in arms about.

Kentucky did just produce the best player in the country not to long ago, and won MVP of the McDonald's game, Erin Boley, our state is loaded with great talent in girls all the way down the freshmen levels, watch the Ky Premier teams and you'll see them play. We have several at different positions that are top 5 in the country at their position.

I know there is always a lot of politicking for these spots, and I am not advocating for any single player. Any of the 7 girls nominated could have performed at a high level for this game. My problem is that Texas received 7 selections and the Kentucky girls out played the Texas teams on the national stage all summer long. The Commonwealth deserved at least one spot.
