If it weren’t for South Fulton High School (TN) then that would happen. The KY/TN line in Fulton runs right through the middle of the town. The street is actually called State Line Street. Fulton City’s football stadium even sits along it and across the street? Tennessee.

 

If they merged city and county the belief is that nothing would be gained because the kids on the Kentucky side would just go less than a mile to South Fulton High in TN.

 

Fulton County High School in Hickman sits right along the Mississippi River and is about a 20 mile drive from Fulton, KY (Fulton City HS).

 

 

That would still eliminate one district that isn't really needed if it's that easy to get to the other side of town.

Crickets as far as I've heard on this job. Anyone else?

The KHSAA still has David Gallagher shown on the master scoreboard for the 2018 season.

I checked the Fulton County school district website and they announced on April 12 that James Bridges has been named as the new football coach at Fulton County. He has been the middle school coach at Fulton County the past 6 seasons and played high school football at Fulton County and played football in college at Murray State. Maybe others on the board can confirm this as well.

Interesting. I'm surprised to hear that simply because all of the info on the KHSAA's site still has Gallagher listed as head coach. I'd just say they haven't gotten around to changing things yet except for the fact that they've had at least 5 or 6 other head coaching hires that have been made since then that they have managed to get updated. Kinda curious.
