Congrats to my Dragons!

Just when you think you have it figured out, the 8th region gets more confusing. Never count out a Steve Simpson's bunch.

Amazing game....1 point affair with less than a minute to play. Peyton Hicks' three off the right wing made it 64-60 South with less than a minute to play, and the Dragons salted it away at the line from there.

If I recall correctly, South hit 13 of 14 free throws for the game.

Kudos to the Dragons for some minor defensive tweaks that mostly worked out in the second half.

Another impressive game from Devin Young, South's POY candidate, who tallied 29 points and was one of the most impressive defensive players on the court. Did a great job of making a defensive impact both on the perimeter and in the interior.

Travis Henderson had a fantastic game for Oldham County; he has really come along in the past three weeks.

Oldham has been one of the best shooting teams in the state all year - at one time #2 in field goal shooting - but in part due to South's defense and in part due to just a bad night, Oldham struggled all around, particularly at the line, where they went 5 of 19.

Great game, great atmosphere. Steve Simpson hasn't won 3 of the past 5 region titles without having great coaching moxie; he pulled all the right strings.

Congrats to the Dragons!

I'm sure both of these teams will be heard from before all is said and done....

Wow, hard to beat anyone going 5 of 19 from the line. Sounds like one of those nights.
