Thanks so much for the info. I know we hit the boards hard and ,make a lot of assists by giving that extra pass. We have a very unselfish team. They just want to win.

Not sure I will be able to give updates. I have a middle school game I really need to go to. My sons best friend which seems like my own is coaching the visiting team.

If I'm right, I think this will be a nail biter that either team could win. If I'm wrong, Ashland gets ran out of their own gym. Which typically would lead to the opponent jumping into the pool on their way to the locker room, sadly enough the pool is no longer there. So in theory, if there is no pool for the opponent to celebrate in, Ashland should win a close one.

They took the pool out....:scared: I remember going to the AIT back in the 60's and I was amazed there was a pool.

Still have a strong feeling that our bench will bring us through again tonight.

Yeah, they metal and such above it was starting to rust and become a safety issue so rather than replacing the framework they decided to just eliminate the pool all together. It's sad, however it just happened at the wrong time I imagine, they were in the middle of a $30 million dollar renovation at another school and had just finished some of the Putnam Stadium renovations. The school system didn't have the money to fix it at that time.

Your bench may very well get you the win tonight. I will say this is the best team Ashland appears to have in the past ten years or so though.

Now this statement has me worried.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong as we're still early in the season.

Played up there in AIT in 2011 or 12. Ashland was the big favorite but we won it all and won the region that year, with Bopper Stenzel and Adam Fatkin

I remember when GRC won the AIT. Ashland has struggled for several years, however I really feel like coach Howell has them back on track. Kids that were just walking the hallways now want to be part of the program. Which in turn has caused the talent level to go up. You'll hear the Villars and Robinson name quite a bit tonight if you listen to the game on the radio. Chase Villars is a great player as well as his younger brother Cole, who is an 8th grader. Then DeVonte Robinson has really stepped up this year and is attacking the basket and rebounding well. I know most people would think that if you're playing an 8th grader at the varsity level then the team must be struggling. Cole looks to be a special player though and comes from a family that eats, sleeps and breathes basketball.

Thanks for the names I will listen for them. Robbie Stenzel started as a 8th grader and you know what kind of team that was.

As i anticipated GRC the victor. APB has a nice ball club and will have an opportunity to compete for a 16th regional title. Watch out for Boyd Co! My selection to win it all.
