Meade County v. Franklin-Simpson

I have one more rant in me today.

My first recollection of a High School Football game was the Highlands v. Bowling Green game at the old WKU stadium during the 1960 season. BG had Dale Lindsey and Highlands had the Burt brothers. So this makes 58 seasons? Never, NEVER have I seen anything that rivals Franklin-Simpson v. Meade County.

Who won this game? Highlights?

I read a quote today:

"Two things do not survive November. Dogs running in the road. Football teams that can't run the ball."

Keys for FS tonight:

1. Don't allow the big home run pass.

2. Stuff the run.

3. Chase the QB. Make him uncomfortable.

If Franklin-Simpson and Bowling Green both do that tonight we will both practice on Thanksgiving.

Who won this game? Highlights?

Meade Co. won 24-21. FS missed a chip shot FG with 2 seconds to go for OT.

I wish I could pull some of the "penalties" from Hudl. Some of them now are comical. I'm not savvy enough to know how to do that.

One that sticks out. I'm not sure who was on offense but the camera had pulled back and you can see 30-35 yards of defensive backfield. No back judge in the scene. When the play is over this yellow flag flies across the screen. He has a call, it was either a 10 or 15 yd mark off, against Meade County. It was right in front of their bench. Obviously not his call. Long official's discussion. The Meade bench went nuts. Their fans went nuts and this dude has a Meade Co fan tossed out (he thought he did anyway). Didn't happen. Simpson Co Deputy and the fan took a stroll around the track back to the visitor's side.
