The middle of Russellville's defense with have a tough time with Train #9.

I love this rivalry because of the old school history involved, but don't think this is the year for Russellville to rise up and look for the Wildcats to roll by a running clock and I honestly hate to say that as I like competitive games.

Who wins this matchup? Can Russellville get a quality win over a solid Franklin-Simpson team? Will Franklin-Simpson get another win over Russellville like last year?

Tough assignment for Russellville. Tougher than a year ago.

This will be the 74th straight year that FS and RHS have squared off. The two stadiums are 20.7 miles apart and teams/fans have traveled over 3,000 miles to watch them play each other.

 

FS holds a commanding 48-25 series lead but that never dampens the enthusiasm nor the attendance. Rhea Stadium in Russellville is one of the great venues in the Commonwealth. From the "Guardians of the Gate" to the high corner of the end zone it's a place everyone who loves high school football should visit.

 

The 2018 season will be the 80th anniversary of Rhea.
