October 18, 20178 yr I was old school and thought you had to have high tops to play. My last few years playing I wore low cut shoes. If you are going to sprain your ankle it doesn't matter what shoe you have on. The low cut shoes are much lighter and if professionals are wearing then more than likely they are just as safe as high or even better. Agreed, I've been wearing lows for years while I play.
October 18, 20178 yr I've heard it may not only be season ending but career ending. Let's hope Hayward can make a full recovery and eventually play again. But honestly I wonder what his mental side would be? Paul George went through it.
