Class 6A

Most pundits felt as if Male and St. Xavier were pretty evenly matched based off previous outcomes of common opponents. St. Xavier gave a case study in why comparing scores is not the best barometer by defeating Male soundly and essentially securing the honor of Regular Season Runner-Up to Trinity in Jefferson County. Butler hopes the Tigers are still celebrating their big win as they try to pull the upset this week. Simon Kenton kept their undefeated season going by winning an Offensive shootout with Campbell County. The Pioneers now get to contest Ryle for Northern Kentucky supremacy in a game with major implications. Pleasure Ridge Park improved their resume by defeating Manual, and the Panthers now cross Region Lines and will battle #2 Scott County in a big clash of heavyweights.

1. Trinity at Ballard

2. Scott County at #5 Pleasure Ridge Park

3. St. Xavier vs. #8 Butler

4. Male at #9 Manual

5. Pleasure Ridge Park vs. #2 Scott County

6. Simon Kenton vs. #7 Ryle

7. Ryle at #6 Simon Kenton

8. Butler at #3 St. Xavier

9. Manual vs. #4 Male

10. Douglass vs. Henry Clay

There was some very tight voting this week. 2 points were all that separated three of the top ten teams from moving up one spot or down one spot. With three districts being decided this Friday, it promises to be an interesting playoff season.

Trinity and it ain't very close.

Trinity and it ain't very close.

I agree with your statement.

Some o the "undercard" games should be entertaining before we all arrive at Kroger Field in December. St. Xavier versus Scott County or Ryle would be fun. Campbell County versus Eastern will be a good first round tussle.

I still believe St. X should be #2.
