Mustangs draw first blood by marching 65 yards on our first offensive set culminated by a Tyler MacDonald to Bryce Donnelly touchdown completion for a 6-0 lead, and when T-Mac ran a bootleg into the endzone for the two-point conversion we led 8-0.

 

The next time we would score would be with 9:47 remaining in the third quarter when Tyler MacDonald found Bryan Duffy over the middle for a 59 yard touchdown pass. The 2-point conversion was no good.

 

However, in the meantime the Greyhounds had run off 38 unanswered points and the hay was in the barn, as the Greyhounds secure the District 5 top seed and improve to 7-1 overall on the season. The Mustangs fall to 4-4 on the season and are on a three game tailspin.

The Mustangs played without the services of our top defensive player, Nathan Bezold, who sustained a torn ACL back in the Nicholas County game, and has since tried to muscle through it, but it has been determined that he will need surgery during the off-season, and in the meantime has been fitted for a brace, which will allow him to finish our the regular season vs Pendleton County and into the playoffs.

That is one tough kid. Major props to Nathan. It sounds like this injury is a huge blow for the Stangs.
