Following their lopsided loss to LCA, Walton Verona has cruised through the district, beating Owen County and Trimble County a combined 117-0. The Bearcats (5-2) have pitched four shutouts this year, including those last two games.

They'll look to keep their shutout run going against Carroll County (3-4). The Panthers beat Owen County by a point in Week 7.

Carroll looks improved but Walton names the score in this one.

The weak District is not helping Walton. They have already played the two best teams on their schedule in non-district play. In the future they may need to schedule the last game of the year against a very good team in order to prep for the playoffs.

They can't control the district play schedule but East Jessamine, KCD and LCA were meant to bolster that I am sure.

True but the problem is the District schedule and then Bellevue and the first playoff game result in long stretch where starters are not playing a full game and limits what can be worked on. If they could find a good 3A/4A/5A team for that last game it would help.

Agree and that use to be New Richmond until till this year when there was a scheduling change I heard.
