Since mayfieldfootball.com has fizzled out, would you guys still be interested in a site devoted to Mayfield football? I would personally like a site that promotes the middle school as well as the high school myself, I never get to hear much about the middle school and I know there are several folks in other states that would love to read about Mayfield football, what do you guys think?

I think community interest in the program may be dropping off some if a long-running team website has been discontinued.

Yeah, you could be right, it definitely has dropped off some. I think the guy that was maintaining the old one just got tired of updating it.

Not exactly the reason the site is no more, I am not sure if the sites owner wants what happened disclosed or not but it had nothing to do with a lack of interest.

Toothpick is right.

I talked to a friend of mine the other day and he said that he and another man were going to start another website that has all the Mayfield football teams featured on it. He said there would be more interviews with the coaches also.

Well, thats cool, I won't fool with it then, but if they need any help with it, I run a webdesign business on the side and I can help them out with anything they need. I just like to keep up with them and I think a site totally devoted to the cardinals would be cool.

I would have at least held on to the name though, they let it expire and now you would have to pay a fortune if you want that domain.

They really wanted to change the name anyway. The website will be about all sports at Mayfield not just football. From what I was told yesterday the website will be informative with records and photos from the past and interviews for all sports.

That sounds super. Any sports program that is considered a traditonal power in any sport should have a web site that's just as good.

Yeah, I want it to be nice, thats why I wanted to design it but I don't want more than one site floating around :thumb:
