Create Your Own 3A Doubleheader

Featured Replies

If you had the power to create a doubleheader between four teams from 3A, who would play whom? Why would you pick those teams? Are you picking highly ranked schools or middle of the road teams looking to make the leap? What would you hope to learn from the games?

For the sake of this argument, we'll say both games take place on the same day at the same neutral location. Teams can't be paired together if they are currently on each other's schedule.

I think I'd want to see Elizabethtown vs. Corbin in the headliner, with Fleming County vs. Casey County the lidlifter. Fleming/Casey to prove which one should be in the top 10, E'town/Corbin because they're both good but never play each other.

I'm purposefully avoiding Belfry/Central because they seem to play every year.

Are you on the KHSAA Cross Bracketing committee as well? :D

I'm going to stay away from Belfry since that is my home school and I see them every week.

I think I would like to see Elizabethtown vs Lexington Catholic and Central vs Corbin. That could possibly give us a preview of the semi-final games later this season. I think both those games would be good be good matchups of style and would give the fans a great night of football.
