Is Hopkinsville the best 0-3 team in the state?

Featured Replies

All three losses are to BGP ranked teams. What are your thoughts? Will these loses serve them later in the season?

Against 5A #8 South Warren 14-35

Against 2A #4 Mayfield 20-49

Against 3A #7 Caldwell County 21-28

Probably although I think there offense is depleated from losing Jalen Johnson and Stephen Cager.

Maybe, but this schedule was put together with another different team in mind.

Bryan Station and Henry Clay could both make arguments to being the best 0 - 3 team in the state.

Henry Clay might make a claim to being best 0-3 team in state but this is an interesting argument nonetheless. Hopkinsville has definitely played a tough schedule but like previous posters mentioned, likely had a different team in mind when they made it.

No doubt about scheduling for a different team, but now they are playing with the cards they are dealt.

As as regards to Henry Clay, do you see the 48-0 shutout to unranked Tates Creek as a valued loss? Their losses against Ryle and Johnson Central are quality but that one seems to knock them out to me.

See my comments above on Henry Clay. I think that Bryan Station would be the better argument of the two. All losses come to ranked opponents but they were shut out in that first game against Lafayette.

It absolutely must be accounted for, I agree. But I did see them in person and they are not a bad football team at all. Extremely fast and play bigger on the line that expected. Henry Clay may not be the best 0-3 team in the state, but IMO they are in the conversation with the aforementioned teams.
