This NKY clash features two teams going in opposite directions. Walton Verona is a program on the rise under Coach Jeff Barth. The Bearcats are currently 2-1 with their only loss a 1 point setback to 1A #4 Kentucky Country Day. WV routed Holmes 41-0 on Friday.

 

Holy Cross on the other hand, has struggled to replace the considerable amount of talent that graduated from last year's semi-final team. The Indians currently sit at 0-3 and none of those losses have been competitive.

I Wonder if Walton remembers that Holy Cross knocked them out of the playoffs last year 13-10. I'm guessing they do.
