Jr QB Gavin Spurrier connected on long passes to Bush and others today. Christian Winn did not play so South relied on Jackson and Eblen to carry most of the runs today with both scoring rushing Td's bush had a receiving TD.

 

Franklin Simpson moved the ball some but could not convert any of their drives to points early in the game. In other words south' defense bent a little but did not break and stood tall when FS was in scoring position.

 

I did not see South putting a running clock on FS. Thought it would have been a lot closer than the final score showed.

Just saw great news on Facebook. FS player Traevon Goodnight who was carted off the field during the game was released from the hospital with a sprained neck. Sure was afraid it was more serious than that. Thanks to all BGPers for their prayers.

It sure looked bad. Glad that he was released and hope he heals fast and well.

Solid win for Sparty. For FS, back to the drawing board.

FS struggling mightily with its pass defense. SW has really found something with Spurrier. Hopefully the tougher schedule will help FS in district play.
