Final

FS scored 48 points on 21 offensive snaps. The longest scoring drive was three plays by the back ups in the fourth quarter.

 

The longest scoring play was a 54 yd rumble by fullback Carlos McKinney. It seemed that every Falcon defender took their shot to no avail.

 

MC's starting QB missed the game due to a suspension but his backup, Curtis Petett, played well. The sophomore has a nice arm he just needs some groceries and time in the weight room.

I want to give a great compliment to the Monroe County fans. They had a great crowd at the game last night. Even though their team was down 42-0 at halftime not a single MC fan left the stadium. During the running clock second half they cheered every positive play. The encouraged the team and cheered every first down like the game outcome hung in the balance. When the game ended they went out and surrounded their guys during the post game huddle.

Monroe Co. has great fans and this does not surprise me one bit. It's way up in the rankings of my favorite road destinations, and I've been fortunate to visit a lot of schools over the years.
