The Purples open their season Saturday. The Panthers took care of Valley 41-6 Friday evening. Can PRP slow Bowling Green's attack? The Purples handled Male in their scrimmage and are heavy favorites to defeat North Hardin. The Panthers will have to play turnover free to keep this one close.

Purples looked a little better than expected for week 1 vs North Hardin (42-7; running clock). With that said, Purples fans have had weeks 2 and 3 circled on their schedule for several months now.

PRP will allow the Purples to match up with a team with similar athletes. Should be speed on both sides of ball with both teams.

PRP with home field advantage but I would think that the overall team speed would lean in Purples favor. Purples have 15 new starters on field. First road game vs good competition and good crowd should make for very interesting night.

If Purples can win turnover battle I like our chances. I don't see a running clock in this one.

Bowling Green will have too much firepower for the Panthers. Pleasure Ridge Park defeated Valley 41-6. The Purples beat North Hardin 42-7 Saturday. The teams they defeated are on different levels. Valley is fortunate to field a team.

Giving PRP 23 points is too much IMO, since Male could only muster 3 points in the scrimmage.

THS, this may be, but taking a young team on the road for the first time is always a test. I think PRP is a solid team. I wouldn't put a ton of weight on the Male scrimmage as it was tighter than the score indicated and was a scrimmage. Did you see PRP play last year? How were their O and D lines?

That being said, I don't look for BG to overlook PRP and for the game to be really close until the 2nd half. BG 28 PRP 14

Yes. I went to the PRP Trinity game. I will say I was impressed with PRP. Granted, it was one of those games where Trinity was in control the whole game but PRP manged to keep it close, until the end. I can't remember the Line size.

Thanks THS! I think this will be a good game!

I got to go to the T v Carmel game on Friday. Great atmosphere! Hope the Rocks go 2 for 2 up in IN on Friday night!

PRP is a better team than Male right now.

Bowling Green 28-7.

Did the Purples come out of the North game healthy? I heard several players went off hurt? And what bout PRP?

This is a bold statement.
This is a bold statement.

Whats bold about it exactly? That PRP played them to a 3 point game in the playoffs and return more players? That PRP's results have been better so far this year? That PRP looks in better condition is playing harder and faster and is executing better on film? Or just that how dare I think that a team 3 spots behind in the ranking could possibly be playing better? What part of that is bold?

Know,

For BG,

1 player broke a bone in his arm and is clearly out for PRP, was on kickoff team only.

1 important LB went off in 2nd Q and did not return; his status is unknown.

During the Male scrimmage, a breakout caliber WR hurt his leg and will miss several weeks at least.

Also during the Male scrimmage (I believe), the backup RB tore an ACL and is out for the season. The rest are just more minor football things.

For PRP, I have no idea but would really like to hear about it.
