Former Beechwood High School coach and Highland Heights resident, Bernie Barre was honored this week for his years of dedication to Wyoming High School in Cincinnati. Their football field was named Bernie Barre field.

What a great tribute to a great man!

He left Beechwood right before the trophy case required an expansion.

He taught when I was a student there. Coached my brothers. Took the Tigers to win their first State Championship in 1984. Gave his former player, Mike Yeagle a great foundation on which he built the dream teams of the 90's.

Very good man, coach, husband, father and grandfather.
