Plagued by turnovers by BOTH teams the JV Tigers managed to hold the JV Crimson Rams scoreless. They made a great showing of their ability to work together as a team to overcome adversity. Way to go Tigers. :walk:

Do many of the young Varsity contributors for Manual play JV?

^ If they don't it's a missed opportunity for the youngsters to get valuable reps. At least that is ONE school of thought.

Great win Tigers....way to bounce back.

You don't understand. Manual is a young team and many of their would be JV players are starters or key backups on Fridays. Manual doesn't have the depth to play around with that.

I liked Manual's tall LB..I believe he was.#45... "The tool" Belt was also very good on the Ram's defensive line.

Manual's announcer was very entertaining..everytime X RB Osborne got the ball...he would yell out Ozzy Osborne with the carry...among other quips...nothing mean-spirited though...

Probably TMI, but that was Charlie Busa from St. Patrick. (Yes! Another parochial school family gone Public. What's the world coming too. Just kidding folks. So don't get bent out of shape.) Funny, funny man.

His son played football for St. Patrick and is at Manual now. His daughter was the equipment manager for Manual's football team for 4 years until she graduated 2 years ago. Good family.

I couldn't agree more BirdieCat. The Busa family is outstanding! Charlie is one of the funniest guys I know and a great, great Dad. Hey, Charlie is a great announcer but Manual HS really needs to get him involved with coaching football. He is very passionate about football and works great with the kids. Charlie (if he had time) would bring a lot to the already excellent freshmen staff they have at Manual HS.

I hate to see a shutout in any area of Manual football. Good job, young Xers.

I remember the daughter, Trainer Busa (j/k, her first name was Brittany if I remember correctly). Nice girl. Good to see the family continuing the Manual tradition.
