June 7, 20179 yr She had high-level security clearance as a government contractor, from what I read on NPR. I know that. How did she get a high level security clearance? Did they not look at her twitter?
June 8, 20179 yr I know that. How did she get a high level security clearance? Did they not look at her twitter? I don't know what the requirements for obtaining high-level security clearance entails. Should those applying only be conservatives? Or should they be people who have particular skills? From what I read, she's a linguist in many languages pertinent to the War on Terror. My guess is that was enough.

She clearly hated the President and obviously couldn't control that hatred enough to do her job. The twitter posts show poor character and judgement imo. I wouldn't have put someone like that in the position she held. Doesn't matter who the President is, or which way she leans, she clearly has issues. For example, she tweeted the following to Iran's foreign minister: "There are many Americans protesting US govt aggression towards Iran. If our Tangerine in Chief declares war, we stand with you!" If there were similar posts before she was actually hired, i worry about their hiring practices.

Just saying that her skills as a linguist probably made it to where the US Govt. needed her enough to overlook obvious shortcomings. How many people do you know who speak those languages?
June 8, 20179 yr I know that. How did she get a high level security clearance? Did they not look at her twitter? She had a military background and was fluent in multiple language commonly spoken in the M.E. I assume on the strength of her previous service record they likely expected her to be professional in her work dealings. Given her tweets however I could have seen them revoking her clearance, why they didn't look at it is beyond me.

How many people do you know who speak those languages? Worked out well for them... Her obvious flaws, if they knew about any of them before, would have made me worry about giving her sensitive information.
