John Hardin Bulldogs - 2016 Grade

Featured Replies

B-

I really didn't want to give John Hardin a B- if only because they gave Bowling Green one of the toughest games the Purples saw all season...but it's hard to look at a 9-5 schedule and give it anything much higher than a B-.

With the exception of their season-ending loss to Franklin-Simpson, all of John Hardin's losses came at the hands of teams from higher classifications. Still, they were shutout 38-0 by Christian County, and they struggled to beat a 5-6 Valley team, only winning by a single point.

Do you agree with a B- for John Hardin? What grade do you give the Bulldogs?

I would have said C- for the regular season. However, their deep run in the playoffs bumps them up to the B-/B range for the entirety of the season.

I'm definitely incorporating playoff performances in my grading.

Thanks for clarifying. I just have a hard time giving any team that makes the final 4 anything below a B regardless of their season before that.

And thanks for starting many of these grade threads. Good discussion points.

John Hardin's grade reminds me of Organic Chemistry in college for myself.

Thinking they could slide by on talent they had a rude awakening at midterms and realized they were in deep doo doo. They buckled down, really applied themselves on their final tests, and not only passed but earned a C+ that they were darn proud of.

I think you are a pretty tough grader.

John won their region, isn't postseason what matters?

Do teachers base the entire grade for the year on the final exam?
