This has to be a monumental upset considering all the Dynasty talk about Estill County softball being unbeatable and the team of the century in 14th region softball. Is this score real?

Estill took a 3-0 lead into the 4th...Leslie hit a grand slam to take a 4-3 lead....Leslie took a 7-5 lead into the bottom of the 7th and made a play that killed Estill's rally.

 

It seems like every time the regional touranment is held 2+ hours away, Estill ends up losing the first round game...When it was at Jenkins, Letcher upset Estill in the first round, when it was at Leslie, Jenkins beat them, now at Knott, Leslie beats Estill.

 

I wouldn't wanna be another 14th region team against Estill next season, they return nearly everyone.

ASB, I understand what you're saying here but just wondering whether the other top region teams are returning a lot of players too. I mean, Leslie won this game and who's to say they won't be highly competitive as well next year. And PCC, KCC, and some of the others.

Estill loses 3 seniors from this year's team, they'll have 7 seniors next season

 

Powell returns 5 seniors

 

Leslie loses 8 seniors from this year's team, will have only 4 seniors next season and 5 juniors

 

Perry will be the most talented team in the region next season return all but 1

 

Letcher loses 4 from this year's team that run-ruled Wolfe County in the first round of the region

 

Wolfe loses 4 I think from a team that they had 5 middle schooler's on.

 

I honestly think it's Perry's and Estill's region next season unless something drastically happens.

 

It looks like the region is at Estill next season...They have on the site selection plan on KHSAA, Estill held the region in 07/08....the last team on the list to host region is KCC 16-17.....

 

If Estill does indeed host region next season then they are gonna have their hands full because they host the district tournaments next season as well.
