Mayer will start at thus 5th spot, kid is a beast.

Over?

Over?

All of the aforementioned. He's better than all of those kids but if they wanted tobadd a scoring guard Id say Davin.

Interesting thoughts. M. Maher is no better than Fleek - I think they averaged the same in JV but Maher gets more attention due to his bloodline. Davin will likely get more looks being Fredricks nephew. Is AJ definitely playing now that he has officially accepted Miami's offer? A lot can happen in the off season so don't sell anyone short. It is an interesting hoops dynamic in Park Hills!

No matter the sport (baseball or basketball) you sure go after the coaches.

Lol, it is interesting that that's what you noticed or chose to comment on in my recent posts bc I also complimented some players, asked questions about others, etc. But you are right, I have no problem stating my opinion or repeating what I have heard from parents, players, other coaches, etc. This site is 99% about opinions. The coaches at CCH are in a unique situation with all their talent and I am sure it is difficult to manage! Yet, a good problem to have ...

Stop with the nepotism charges.

I'm fine with that if you stop saying the starting spots are full when there are still 6 months before the season starts. I would hate for any kid to think a spot can't be his if they work hard enough and earn it...

I like Fleek, much improved sophomore who can definitely help at the Varsity level. Personally I haven't seen enough of him to rank him above Mayer (Frosh). I do think those 2 along with Davin will see most of the time at that 5th spot. Could be a rotating one. Although of Walter gets in foul trouble you could see both on the floor a lot. Good problems to have for sure when you have so much depth.

If a kid says he didn't get the last starting spot because Clyde said it was already taken was he ever really starting?

Yes

Congratulations to Aiden Ruthsatz. Great point guard, fierce defender, and will hurt you from behind the arc. He should have a great senior year.

Clyde, I am sincerely sorry. You are obviously more connected and know exactly who is going to start in 2017-2018.

More importantly, I would like to apologize to Aiden and the BGP community. This is supposed to be about him and I followed others down this path.

Congrats again Aiden! You are going to have a blast playing ball in Memphis ...

I don't need to be connected. I watch.

There is one spot open and it's a wing player. Jack Davin will be the wing. That's not inside trading. I'm not breaking news to other coaches in the 9th.

Jack is 6'4ish with the ability to put the ball on the floor AND hit an outside shot. That makes him the obvious candidate for the 3. He's doing well playing for Indiana Elite and barring injury will continue to get ready. CCH is lucky that they have options. They can go to a smaller lineup (still long though) by taking Jake out and putting in Michael Mayer (my guess as to the 6th man). They can bring Fleek in to play the 4 as well. He'll get better every day in practice by going up against the starting 5. He plays a lot of varsity minutes at most other schools but he will be in a sub role at CCH this year. I'd love to see him work on a)a left hand b)a jump hook and c)a jumper from 15 in. All of those along with his ability to go hard to the rim will make him even more valuable. I'm already a fan of his but I also see where he fits and it has nothing to do with bloodlines, nepotism, or favoritism. It's just life at a big program. When you have a lot of talent , with many of them playing high-level AAU for sponsored teams you've got a big battle on your hands starting Oct. 15. I look forward to watching him continue to get better.
