I'm sure there are a few fans of this guy out there, who died far too soon at age 32 in the early '90s. Netflix users can find one of his 1989 shows titled "Sane Man" for viewing. He was controversial in his time for many reasons, but wouldn't be seen as all that controversial nowadays when it comes to stand-ups trying their best to out-shock each other. Some parts of it haven't aged well (his liberal use of homosexual slurs being a biggie), but it's still intensely funny.

And no, he doesn't drift into the Southern accent for purely mean-spirited reasons. The guy was born in Georgia and raised in Texas.

Always loved two of his bits in particular: the one about crime in Britain and the one about how awful LA life is and that he's waiting for a big earthquake to let it fall into the ocean leaving only the beautiful seaside vistas of "Arizona Bay."

Didn't he perform on Letterman numerous times before CBS removed his final performance? Maybe I'm remembering this wrong.
