However my issue with this bill is that it allows states to restrict funding from Planned Parenthood clinics if they perform abortions. Abortions are still legal and I understand that some Planned Parenthood clinics don't need state funding but Planned Parenthood clinics do much more than just perform abortions. I guess we'll see if Planned Parenthood clinics quit performing abortions so they continue to do all of the many things they do to ensure health of women. For the Planned Parenthood clinics that need the state funds I imagine they will have some tough choices to make in the near future.

It's my understanding and correct me if I'm wrong the Obama adminstration issued a regulation in the final weeks or month that took power away from the states on this issue. This law just puts things back to where it was and giving states power where to distribute the funds. If anything the GOP went the right route, instead of an EO or regulation they passed a law.

Correct. I agree with the states not having the power to make a move like this but I understand why they made this move. I just wish that it didn't affect places that do more than just perform abortions.

PP has been playing this manipulation of funds for years. Business 101, if I receive funds for service A it allows me to use my other funds for service B. They can play this no direct correlation of funds game but we all know what is true. Some look the other way because they are pro abortion. Which is fine I just wish we were all honest. If I have $100 and I want to buy both product A and B. But both products cost $100, I have to choose. If someone offers me $100 but I can't spend it on product A. Well I can use their money for product B and use my money for product A. It's all a sideshow. If you support PP getting federal funds just say you don't like the federal law and are find with ignoring it.

It should be paid for out of your own pocket like a big boy and girl. I don't mind the government funding the rest of Planned Parenthood's mission.

The problem with your last line is you can't fund one without the other.
