The good the bad and the ugly of the CovCath 9 Holy Cross (Cov) 4 game played today.

 

The good:

Junior Jack Maile in his first AB's of the season, hit 2 HR's one that hit just right of the new scoreboard about half way up (340 1st)and the other that cleared over the 345 (2nd) mark. Jack scored 2 runs and had 4 RBI's

 

Senior Mo Thiel 2/3 2 runs scored

 

Senior Ben France (1-0) 3 innings of no hit, no runs baseball with 5 K's 43 pitches

 

16 of the 19 CovCath players, got an AB today.

 

The bad

Allowing Holy Cross two HR's one being hit by Finke that was hit over the 380 mark and Webster over the 340 mark.

 

The ugly

3 errors by fielding and throwing.

 

CovCath improves to 1-1 and next plays Hamilton Badin @ CovCath on Monday, April 27 with the first pitch coming at 5:00 pm.

It's not bad if you are a Holy Cross fan. :-) Congrats to Finke. He's just coming out of Diving season where he placed top 10 in the state. He also had a stellar Senior year in football.

 

Hopefully the Indians have a decent baseball season. Cov Cath always does well in baseball. I'm sure they will be fine the rest of the season.

Some of the best in Cincinnati!!! Their home made Wisconsin brats and goetta is second no none in town. Well worth the drive from anywhere in and around the 275 loop and beyond.

Why can't you have concessions? The Reds Community Fund sunk a ton of money into that place, seems strange you don't/can't have/use concession stand.

All I can say about it is that it is out of the control of Holy Cross.
