Will post more when information is available.

Cards were in the hole 2-0 until they plated 5 in the 4th and never looked back.

Hoeing continues to search on the mound. 3.1 IP w/ 6 H and lucky to only give up 2 R. 4 BB has to be driving McDonnell crazy after McAvene's wildness on SUN. These FR will learn to throw strikes for Roger Williams or they won't throw at all. Would not be shocked to see Bennett get the start on SUN against Pitt after their comparative performances last weekend when McKay missed his start.

NOTE: the 4 relievers that followed (Bordner [who apparently was going to start on TUE if the game at EKU did not get rained out], Elliott, Smiddy & Dale) did not issue a free pass and were all VERY sharp.

On offense, the 3-6 hitters continue to barrel the ball. Mann was 2-4 w/ a 3B & a bomb. McKay (Player of the Month in the NCAA for FEB) was 1-2 with a walk & a HBP (.750 OBP). Life's tough when you go 1-2 and your batting avg drops from .621 to .613! Ellis was 2-4 with a walk & a 2B. Hairston was 3-4 with a 2B, 3B & 5 RBI.

ACC schedule starts today with Pitt visiting JPat. Schedule has not been brutal yet and they start at home with Pitt and BC in ACC play before heading to Raleigh for a preseason Top 10 battle with NC State.
