Who stays? Who goes?

I like this group, and think Monk is a terrific scorer, but I will not be sad to see some of them go. I think the group Cal is bringing in next year, with Briscoe (assuming he stays), Gabriel, SKJ, Humphries, Diallo (hopefully) coming back they could be scary good! Especially if they get Bamba to commit

What you just said about next years group, is what people said about this years group. In fact I even remember people saying last year that they couldn't wait to get the season over with, because they couldn't wait for this group lol.

The 2015 group spoiled us much like the 96 through 98 run. We were so darn good and had great chemistry right from the beginning, that people seem to expect that to happen right away again.

Right now we are currently sitting as a 2 seed and people act like this team is bad and has no chance. If this team is a 2 seed, then how bad must other teams be if this team is bad. People got spoiled from 2 years ago and forget this is normal. We have a very good team, but have flaws just like every other team. Will just depends who can minimize those flaws the most for 6 straight games come ncaa tournament time.

I don't ever remember saying this team is bad or can't win or anything like that. This group, in my opinion, is not a fun group to watch and most of them seem to not care about these games as they are just a stepping stone to next year when they make their money. There is no sense or urgency, nothing that makes this group fun to watch unless Monk is scoring 35+

Never once said it was you. I'm just referring to people in general who say they are ready for the next group of freshman, and think the next group will be that great group. What you said about next years group, is what people were saying during last season about this years freshman group.

Which I disagree with you on this years group. Most of the year we started 4 freshman. To start the year things came easy for them and basically were able to get up and down the court and score at will and get close to 100 a game. No one questioned their effort or how much they cared then.

Then came conference season and true road games, and the way they were playing stopped working and people act like they didn't care. There was no reason for them to change their game when it was working until January. Then they had to learn how to play differently.

However over the last 3 weeks we have seen them change their game. They have started playing much better defense and have started to do much better in the half court offense compared to what they were in January doing half court stuff. If they didn't care we wouldn't be seeing these improvements.

People imo confuse not playing to the full potential and at their best at all times as lack of effort or not caring. When in reality they are college freshman most of them and still learning. The big thing for me is I have seen much improvement from January till now.

So maybe we agree to disagree on this. However that doesn't seem like lack of effort or caring to me. Just seems to me a team learning how to play at the college level, and what they need to do to be successful. Which imo they have started to show that. Are they all the way there yet, no. Are they making improvements to get there, yes.
