February 27, 20179 yr Another nice win for the Bulldogs as they went into the Cintas Center and gave X its 5th straight loss. Having Kelan Martin come off the bench seems to be really working for Butler and Martin...he had 25 points and 7 rebounds today. Kamar Baldwin has become my favorite college basketball player this year. I am not saying he is the best...he is clearly not...but I just love watching him play. He can shoot it and is the most athletic kid I have ever seen at Butler. Great week for Butler winning AT Nova and X! On the flip side, X is a mess right now. Five straight losses and are now 5-9 in their last 14 games I believe. Nobody is saying the dreaded "bubble" word for them yet but they better beat Marquette at home or DePaul on the road this week. Seven losses in a row should make the Committee very hesitant IMO.
February 27, 20179 yr If X loses to Marquette then DePaul becomes a MUST win IMO. (Assuming they do not make a run in the Big East tourney to the final). They cannot end the season on 7 straight losses and then get bumped out early in the Conference tourney and still make the NCAA tourney. A win over Marquette and DePaul rights the ship and gives them 20 wins.
