Dixie 64 Holy Cross 52

Featured Replies

Final from the Finn.

Sounds like HC was missing 2 starters. Maybe Jaylen Williams(?) and Barnes.

I came in late but it sounds like HC had Dixie down early but Dixie dominated the 3rd qtr.

Unofficial scoring from Holy Cross Radio.

Dixie - 8 12 27 17 = 64

HC - 11 11 14 16 = 52

Dixie -

Schweitzer 23

Meyer 15

Schreck 10

Bradfield 7

Thornsberry 5

Buechel 3

Suedkamp 1

Holy Cross-

Schrand 15

Niehaus 10

Volpenhein 9

Macke 6

Zimmerman 5

Houston 4

Meinze 3

Holy Cross played without 2 starters in Jaylin Williams and Derrick Barnes who were away on retreat.

Per cincinnati.com:

Dixie Heights 64, Holy Cross 52

Dixie Heights–Buechel 1 0 3, Meyer 6 3 15, Schreck 4 2 10, Suedkamp 0 1 1, Thornberry 0 5 5, Bradfield 2 3 7, Schweitzer 9 1 23. Totals: 22 15 64.

Holy Cross–Schrand 5 1-15, Niehaus 5 0-10, Macke 2 0-6, Zimmerman 1 2-5, Volpenhein 3 1-9, Houston 2 0-4, Meinze 1 1-3, Totals 19 5 52.

Halftime: HC 22-20. 3-pointers: DH 5 (Schweitzer 4, Buechel); HC 9 (Schrand 4, Volpenhein 2, Macke 2, Zimmerman).

I don't beleive having Barnes or Williams would have changed this outcome. Meinze and Houston both did a great job gaurding Dixie's big man. But when Houston had to gaurd him and Meinze sat, that's when Dixie seemed to pull away a little. IMO they both needed to be on the floor at same time. Subs toward end of first half cost HC 4 pts real fast. Keep doing the same thing coach, it's worked great so far.
