Hazard and Buckhorn play tonight @ Buckhorn.....Leslie played Perry Central (@ Leslie) the other day and got hammered bad...69-27

Just out of curiosity is there much draw/seed talk in this district? Is it as hot of a topic as it is in other districts? I know nothing about the 54th besides Buckhorn has had some decent teams of late. Just wondering how other district that draw feel about the topic.

Thanks in advance

I don't understand why the 54th doesn't seed but for some reason over the years they have chosen not to do it. Sometimes smaller schools don't like seeding but although Buckhorn has less than 200 students they've won the region three times since 1988. They compete.

The district my school is in has been seeding since around 1980. The enrollments of the four schools are 720, 700, 325 and 225. The seeding has been successful because the district games during the season are very important and usually have good gates. Last night's Powell-Estill game in Irvine was a full gym, probably close to their 2500 capacity.

Im sure the 54th occasionally vote to decide whether to keep the blind draw or seed. It's probably a 2-2 tie vote but I don't know which schools vote to keep it a blind draw. More than likely I would think Perry Central votes to seed. Not sure about Hazard, Buckhorn or Leslie.
