Does anyone know the official rule for 8th graders playing up? If they play freshman and JV can they still play 8th grade?

Yes they can still play 8th grade.

What sport? Depends on the local school district, in NKY if you play up you can not play in ms too. Conference rule in NKY.

I know the tall 8th grader for Beechwood is currently playing JV. The other two played freshman. All did well.

Basketball is the sport in question.

Mattingly the tall 8th grader playing JV no longer plays 8th grade. The other 3 who play frosh still play 8th grade and are a loud to play in the 8th grade tournament.

Mattingly did well in the freshman game, I believe he was the leading scorer for Beechwood.
