The excitement in Phelps Hornet land continues. HC David Jones has reported that Doug Howard will be joining his coaching staff at Phelps to coach running backs. These guys were one of the most dynamic duo's I ever had the pleasure to watch in the backfield, leading Belfry to their first two state championships in 2003 & 2004. I can't wait to see if they can recreate that same chemistry on the sidelines.

 

I know a lot of Belfry fans who are just as excited for David/Phelps as they are for Belfry's success. Phelps made tremendous improvements last season under first year head coach Jones, and adding Howard to that staff should be another boost. Go Hornets
