Highlands lost a close one to Ryle in 3 (19-25, 25-13, 24-26). Highlands has now beaten Boone and Campbell...take on NCC on Tuesday. SHould be a tough match for the birds.

Assumption is ranked 2nd. NDA gave them a good match and NDA still wasn't on top of their game. If NDA can keep playing tough competition the way Assumption does, I think they will give Assumption a run for their money on October 4. Starting September 23, NDA will be taking on tough teams like St. Henry, Sacred Heart, and Cincinnati Mercy. They will also be matching up with some good Ohio teams in next weekend's Fall Classic. Any results from this weekend's September Slam and Cake Classic?

Isn't the cake classic next weekend? I think it conflicts with the Cincinnati Mercy Fall Classic. What is the September Slam and what other tourneys this weekend?

Yes...Cake Classic is next weekend. It would typically be held this weekend but conflicted with a home football game. Thus, NCC (who has typically participated) can't come this year as they are in the Fall Classic.

 

Not sure on dates of September Slam or any tournaments left this season.

The Scott Tournament played on Saturday Sept.16th was won by Conner as they were able to avenge an earlier loss in the day to the Ludlow Panthers in pool play. Conner beat Ludlow in the final 29-27 and 25-18. Congratulations to both teams as they played 2 very exciting matches on Saturday.

Noticed the Wells girl from Conner at the Championship game on crutches and in a knee brace.. Was told she possibly tore her ACL. Here's hoping for a quick recovery.

She is recovering from surgery after a torn ACL. Hopefully she'll be back in time to play some club ball...she's quite a talented player.

I know last year a very good volleyball player that partially tore her ACL in May, and was not back until January. That is approximately 8 months. If this player has a similar recovery, that would bring her back @ May.

 

Hopefully her recovery is cautiously expedited. Do you know... did she have a complete tear (meaning they had to do a graft or take a ligament from a cadaver), or did she just have a partial tear?

 

Makes a big difference in the recovery time. Hopefully she only had a partial tear.

Noticed BigZig congratulating ZX3 after the Beechies had beat the Panthers yesterday out at Beechwood. Just a sign that everything on here is said in fun and things shouldn't be taken so personally..Congrats to the Tigers..
