2017 5 Star SG Hamidou Diallo to Announce Saturday 1/7

Featured Replies

2017 5 Star SG Hamidou Diallo is set to announce his college decision this Saturday at 5:00 pm.

He is in a unique situation as he's already graduated high school and will enroll in college for the spring semester, which will allow him to practice with whatever team he chooses and get a leg up on next season. He does not plan to play this season.

Diallo is down to Connecticut, Kentucky, and Arizona, although he cancelled his planned visit to Arizona to announce, so smart money is now on UConn or Kentucky. He is the #10 ranked prospect in the 2017 class according to 247sports.

Most recruiting "experts" have Kentucky as the pick.

Just a few weeks ago "experts" were saying it was a done deal to UConn. I wonder what changed his mind if he does go to UK or elsewhere?

I'm thinking everyone thought he was going to UConn because the general consensus was that he was enrolling Spring semester and was going to play this year. He's not doing that now, so now the thought is Kentucky.

Also UConn being a dumpster fire couldn't have helped their cause...

He can go pro & not play college at all, right? I was under the impression that he would never play in college.
