Does anyone know who the candidates are and what determines who and how you become and win the POY award. Just curious.

 

Geez, JA, would have thought you would have found the answer to your second question somewhere in the 77 post thread you started back in February of this year. As for the first question, you gotta think O'Mara is a prohibitive favorite, right?

I'm not starting trouble, but is O'mara the unanimous favorite as the best player on the MC team? Reading over the last couple years, there seems to be mixed opinions on who is the best on that team. That's not a bad thing! Just if that is true, it always surprises me that she automatically jumps to the top of everyone's list when this subject is brought up. I know she's a very good player. Not knocking that at all. But is it habit to say her name at the top or is she truly the best player?

 

And as we know, I love Schwarber. But I'm a guy that looks at all aspects of the game. I know scoring gets the headlines, but there is so much more to the game than that. I just love watching her play in all aspects.

Of course we all consider you the renaissance guy of BGP. But, you will have to save your Schwarber argument for another year, as this is a senior only award. BTW, I like watching both her and Clos play. Hardnosed.

Well crap! I didn't know that. That is deceiving. Should say the senior POY!! A true player of the year would be the best player that year...regardless of class.

This thread is like deja vu all over again…..POY is a Senior Award….let's get all the hate and discontent for that aspect of the award out of the way and name the seniors in the 10th that are eligible...

The KABC POY is a senior award. The "regional player of the year" award can go to anybody in any class (See Ally Niece winning 8th region POY last year).

 

So which is the original poster asking about then?
