Mustangs led 26-16 after the first half on the merits of Brossart junior Zach Hamberg putting up 20 first half points, while knocking down five 3-pointers, and having his team outscore the Braves 16-3 in the second quarter.

My concerns of Hamberg not scoring 20 more in the second half and us not holding the Braves to 3 points in future quarters came to fruition as the Braves put up 21 in the third quarter, and 22 in the fourth quarter to advance to the semi-finals of the Swauger Classic on Thursday afternoon at 5pm versus John McGregor from Chatham, Ontario, Canada. They defeated the Bellevue Tigers handily in the tournament's second game of the day.

Hamberg led all scorers with 24 points. Conner McClure and Luke Adkins led the Braves with 11 points each, and Zach Tuggle added 10.

The Mustangs will seek their second win of the season at 1pm on Thursday vs the host Bellevue Tigers.
