Oldercoach Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Augusta controls the game leading by double digits from before half to defeat the short-manned St Pats handily. The Panther Den was packed tonight. Sorry, no game stats from me. Have to mention St Pat hit a 3/4 court heave after the 1st quarter horn, and duplicated it at the end of the 2nd. Both shots were banked in and clearly after the horn. Might be a new offensive strategy ----take it out and heave it. 100% from 3/4 court is pretty effecient.
AndOneDad Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Glad to hear about the crowd. Another blow against cancer........Sorry I missed it. Out of town on business. Thx Coach

He, Laycock and Shoemaker are only seniors. Three frosh, and one sophomore, and two juniors heavy contibutors logging lots of minutes. Future looking positive for young Panthers. The Den looking scary again.
MommaMitchell Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 My family and I were in attendance and I wanted to give kudos to the organizers and participants of the Hoops for Hope festivities. It was apparent that both the Augusta and St. Patrick schools, as well as the extended Bracken County community, rally behind their neighbors. Hearing the testimony of the families who have battled and are currently battling cancer was touching. The young lady who spoke was an inspiration and the auction raised a significant amount of money to help a worthy cause. Great job by all!
