Complete domination by the Tigers

Very impressive. The Tigers seem to keep getting better every week. Holy Cross only had three or four first downs the entire game. Game summary will be posted shortly.

Roll on Tigers. I thought the score would be closer than that.

Me too VoR

Beechwood really has it together this year.

This Beechwood defense is speed on top of speed everywhere. Sophomore Adam Derry has been huge in the middle of the D line.

Holy Cross had the ball first. They picked up a first down and then fumbled the ball, recovered by the Tigers. On their first offensive play of the night from the 30, QB Brayden Burch completed a TD pass to Aiden Justice. That was pretty much the way it went the rest of the night. Holy Cross never was able to get anything going all night on offense. Beechwood's defense completely controlled the line of scrimmage with their athletic defensive line running through the big Cougar line and into the backfield for repeated tackles for loss. If my notes are right, Holy Cross had two first downs they earned and another one by penalty. They did not have one possession all night with two first downs.

Here is the scoring summary for Beechwood:

Q1

10:33 ... Burch to Justice 30 yards; Daniel Mescher XP ... 7-0

5:40 ... Dalton Everett blocked punt out of end zone ... 9-0

4:26 ... Justice 21 yard TD run; Mescher XP ... 16-0

Q2

9:37 ... Justice 36 yrd run; Mescher XP ... 23-0

2:39 ... Castleman 5 yard run; Mescher XP ... 30

Q3

6:07 ... Justice 2 yard run; Mescher XP ... 37-0

Q4

6:15 ... James Davis 1 yard run; Mescher XP ... 44-0

Beechies keep on rolling.

I totally agree, however. Could someone tell me about Burch. He was limpnig in the 2nd Quarter and don't think he even dressed for the 2nd half. Please tell me he is not out for the rest of the playoffs.

That's not good. If the game was in hand which it was no use in having him out there.

I thought I saw him on the sideline in uniform. They had a big lead so there are several explanations why they would not play him the second half.

That makes good sense. I think I was projecting, B-wood has been snake bit with key injuries the last few years and I thought here we go again. I think wanting to see him for a couple series after the half was more for my peace of mind. Thanks
